plaster, this special 10th edition of PIP expo
explores materials to the fullest.
Artist Heejung Kim, Thomas Ballouhey, Koos Breen and might have different backgrounds, but we share an interest in form and texture. For this event only we collaborated to transform PIP into our own concrete playground for the opening exhibition of ‘PIP Lekker10 festival’.
The use of sand as a medium has a transformative effect on the experience of viewing three individual artworks, each with its own unique texture and character. By creating a cohesive link between these disparate pieces, the sand amplifies the tactile and visual qualities of the materials, highlighting the connections and contrasts between them.
