The historical gas station built in 1920 has revived into cafe ‘PUNG NEW DO’.
Although the past, present, and future are connected, they have their own unique qualities during each era. To accentuate the distinctive features of this historical and one-of-a-kind space, the coexistence and contrast of the past and present were integrated into the spatial design concept as a key element.
In order to maintain the historical features of the architecture, the building materials were left unchanged. Instead, designs for furniture and installations were created by drawing inspiration from the existing architecture.
